Please submit electronic version of all required documents during your application.

Please provide notarized translations of your documents if they are in any language other than English and Turkish.

  • Application Form (Please fill the form in a readable way)
  • Copy of your Passport with personal information page on it. If you don’t have a valid international passport at the time of application, please provide a copy of your national ID
  • Copy of an official document certifying successful completion of high school (diploma or school leaving certificate) if available at the time of application. If not available, provide any document demonstrating your education status
  • Copy of an official high school transcript showing all your courses taken during your high school study
  • Exam results if you are applying with an exam (national or internationally recognized), such as SAT
  • Copy of English language proficiency exam if available
  • Copy of Turkish language proficiency exam for Turkish taught degree programs
  • Letter of Intention
  • Reference letter

  • Depending on the program type, extra documents might be asked.
  • Electronic (scan) versions of all required documents are requested during application; however, you have to bring original versions for the registration.
  • Applications with missing documents will not be taken into consideration. It is the applicant’s responsibility to send the complete and accurate required documents on time.

YOU CAN APPLY WITH YOUR NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA GRADES TOO; ACCEPTABLE DIPLOMA GRADE FOR SCHOOL OF MEDICINE IS MINIMUM 90/100, FOR OTHER PROGRAMS MINIMUM 60/100. HOWEVER, , ADMISSION CHANCES ARE HIGHER WITH ONE OF THE SCORES OUTLINED ABOVE

There are no limitations on the validity period of exams which are in the status of high school final examinations (ABITUR, MATURA, International Baccalaureate, GCE, Tawjii, etc.). The validity period of the exams with the status of university entrance exam (SAT, ACT, etc.) is two years.

*Meeting the application requirement does not offer an automatic acceptance. Each application will be evaluated for final decision if all required documents are submitted.

 

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

  1. Acıbadem University Foreign Language Preparatory School examination regulations are applied for the Preparatory education Program and undergraduate program
  2. Students are required to certify their English language proficiency to start English undergraduate programs.
  1. a) Applicants are required to submit a valid English proficiency certificate at the time of application. Applicants who submit a valid language certificate can begin their undergraduate studies without taking the English proficiency exam of the University. b) Students who cannot submit a certificate are required to take the ACEPT (Acıbadem University English Proficiency Test) and must obtain at least the minimum passing grade determined by the Senate. c) Students who cannot meet proficiency requirements are required to attend the English Preparatory Program. d) Students who study at a secondary school in a country where English is spoken as a mother tongue for at least the last three years and complete secondary education in these institutions are exempt from the English Preparatory Program.
  1. Students enrolled in Turkish associate degree and bachelor degree programs are required to take the APPT (Acıbadem University English Proficiency Test). According to their result, they may be exempt from English courses partially or completely. Students who do not take the exam or do not submit an equivalent international exam result must take these courses.

International students (Undergraduate and Graduate) are to obtain their student visas in order to study in Turkey before they come to Turkey. Students should apply to the nearest Turkish Consulate in their native country with their “Letters of Acceptance” issued by AGU. There, they can also obtain the latest information about visa procedures and the required documents.

The student visa is required in order for students to apply for a residence permit in Turkey. Here are the some important issues;

  • You must obtain your student visa before coming to Turkey.
  • The visa is stamped in the passport.
  • The Registrar’s Office of the Abdullah Gül University (AGU) sends the Letters of Acceptance.
  • Your local Turkish Consulate may require additional documents (in addition to passport and letter of acceptance).
  • A fee is usually charged for the issuing of a student visa.

RESIDENCE PERMIT AND HEALTH INSURANCE

Students need to visit the Turkish Embassy or a Consulate with the acceptance letter to be received from the University. Though varying from country to country, you might need to acquire student visa which is only valid for a month. Students won’t be asked for a student visa during registration as every country has a different implication for student visa. PLEASE double check with the Turkish consulate in your country as soon as you have your document.

Bear in mind that every student has to obtain a student residence permit once they get registered. You must obtain a student residence permit appointment from Provincial Directorates of Migration Management shortly after you enter the country. (Read the details: http://www.goc.gov.tr/main/Eng_3)

By Turkish Law, a comprehensive health insurance is obligatory for international students to be able to obtain residence permit. If you don’t have a valid health insurance at the time of your application to the Provincial Directorates of Migration Management, you will be given 3 months to obtain and submit a copy of the health insurance.

Students, who hold a residence permit obtained outside of Istanbul, must transfer their residence files to Istanbul from the relevant city as soon as they complete their registration to the university.

Students who hold a Blue Card are not required to obtain a residence permit.
